Apple pays $13.6M fine to Russian government for alleged abuse of dominant position in in-app payments market. The fine is transferred to Russian Federation's budget. Apple suspended product sales and disabled Apple Pay in Russia during the war with Ukraine. The company also removed apps of Russian news outlets and social media platforms from global App Store. Apple previously paid $10.3M fine to Russia for blocking competitor's product. Russia has fined technology companies including Google and Facebook's Meta. YouTube was fined for spreading 'false information' or 'discrediting armed forces.'
